I have an Oceanic 29 gallon Biocube. It comes with the stock lighting. I was wondering if adding a panorama module, stunner strips, or a reefbrite would add a shimmer to the tank? How many would I need of each? I would like the shimmer effect with the pc's, but I do not want to purchase an entire led setup or MH. Please let me know. TY.

Lose the biocube lights and mount 3xPanorama 50/50's or switch to a Nanotuners LED hood(same price as 3 Panoramas and 3 watt LEDs instead of 1 watters).

I have a reefbrite blue strip on my 120 and there is no shimmer when any of the T5's are on. With just the reefbrite there is crazy shimmer. I think you would have to get a white LED to get shimmer with your main lights on, but it will wash the colors out and you may not be happy with the way things look.

I really didn't want to spend $300.00 on lights. I was looking for something used and found the powerbrites. With the panoramas I could add 1 at a time.I was just curious if I could add either for a little shimmer with the PC's.
