Where can I get cooling fans for cheap. I am also looking to get the 12v adaptor so I can plug the fan directly to an outlet.

Newegg.com has some pretty good stuff. Also the ability to set a search for noise level and cfm for the fans.

Do you have to use a pc fan? Can't you just use a regular fan? Just bought a small fan for around 12.

This is for an aquapod. I am going to put this on top of the hood and want something low profile.

Also how will I rin this on a 120V? do I need a 12V adaptor?

Yep. An old cell phone charger will work well. Just make sure the amp load on the converter is more than the fan. So if you have a .5 amp draw from the fan use a converter that's more than that. I would run the total draw of the fan at 80% of the max output of the converter. So if you have a total draw of 1.2amps use a 1.5amp converter.

No problem. I've also seen adjustable dc coverters too. So if the fans are loud, you can switch from 12V to 9V. If it were me, old cell phone charger all the way!

One more question, I have a 12v - 1A adaptor. Will I be able to run 2 X 12V .09A fans? I was thinking about pig tailing them.

Yes, you can run the fans of this converter. .09x2=.18, so you'll be using about 20% of the available power. Wire them in parellel. Both + (positive) of the fans to the + of the converter and the same for the - (negatives). Good luck.
