I modded the HOOD to make it extend towards the middle of the tank, this way when i mount the maxspect LED in it will have much beter cover.i used 2 orange hoods, hinges, 1/2 inch bolts with nuts, and sand paper to do this.

cut with a PVC saw, and pointed pliers.
Credit to jbb_00 from nanoreef.com for the idea for this hood

Very nice, I too have an edge nano tank. I'm running a 60w led light pannel I got off amazon... No noame brand but all my pallys rics and scollys love it... I have 20 different pallys with 20 more coming next week. 10 sexy shrimp brittle star, and my only fish is the helfrichi as well... I'm going to be adding a canister filter modded as a cryptic fuge for addittional flow$ I currently have a via aqua 10 that does about 80 gph for flow, but I hate having powerheads in the tank... Ill post some pics once I get home.....

Wish I had a pic on my phone, but I used my dremmel and cut off the lights that came with the tank and just built a canopy around the outer edge of the EDGE, I used 1/8 in wood and framed the outer edges of the led pannel, so the light is allowed to penetrate the entire tank

Not the stock hood, but I do have a canopy using very light wood materials, ill be home in 2 days from my buisness trip and ill post a pic then. I also though about buying 2 shelving brackets and putting them above the tank and suspend the pannel, I just think a canopy finishes the tank, I didn't want to loose any light spread so the lights sit about 3" above the tank surface
