Is it safe to add a blue throat trigger to a 90 gallon reef tank? I've been slowly adding corals (lps and soft) to my tank and have always thought about getting a blue throat trigger fish. I do have some hermit crabs, snails, and 1 cleaner shrimp. My other fish are: hippo tang, pair of occ clowns, and one orange spotted goby. Thanks in advance for all advice/input.

If you are asking reef safe, then yes they are reef safe. I have had one in my 180 gallon reef for 3 months with no issues. I have peppermint, cleaner and coral banded shrimp and snails and hermits. No issues.

Same here, I've had one for the last 2 months and all my snails and shrimp are all accounted for.

(Well, I don't really count the snails, I just guess they are still there or reproducing cause I haven't seen a noticeable drop in snail population)

Thanks, I was also wondering about its compatibility with my current fish.

blue throat is considered to be reef safe, but as with any fish, it really depends on the individual.
