Hello guys now my tank is approaching a year of launch, and I want to be is starting to enter a 2 cm of sand.
What do you think?

go for it. rinse the sand with RO water and slowly add it. use something like a plastic cup full of sand (covered), take it all the way down to the bottom and slowly spread it. you will still get a cloudy tank for a while, but it will go away after a short time. spread it around the base of the rocks leaving them in contact with the bottom of the tank.

Take a 1" piece of PVC....enough to reach the bottom and stick out the top. Use a funnel and pour the sand down the tube.....spreads evenly with no real mess!

I've done it with PVC as well and it works great.

Just keep in mind that the sand will likely "pool" in certain areas and clear away in others - the degree of this will be mainly dependent on your tank's flow. You might have to add a little more sand than you'd like to keep some spots covered. Experiment!
Also, what kind of sand do you plan to add?
