I have several of these in my tank. All the pictures I have seen of aiptasias they have a brown color. I know its hard to tell in these pictures, but these are clear, or maybe even a little white. They do retract very fast if touched and I do not see any type of tube like a fan worm. They just seem to vanish!
I really hope they aren't aiptasias, but I need some expert advice.
Thanks!!

Definately doesn't look like aiptasia, it looks more like a feather duster. There should be a white calcerous tube that it retracts in to. Aiptasia is usually brown and doesn't have a feathery look to it.

Can you get a picture of the underside of this thing?

feather dusters=good. it's hard to tell from the pics. but aptaisia usually will only have about 10 feelers out. They dont look like aptasia too me.

Thanks guys. You are making me feel better. I cant get any better pictures of these things, I have tried. Being clear, its hard to get them to show up very well. Thanks again to you all.
