So I bit the bullet and got an ADA 30C tank for the office. The first nano for me - I wanted to keep it small as its at work. I figured a 7ish gallon tank would be simple enough to move if needed.

Here is a FTS with water, LR pieces, and my shelf-mounted LED fixture (excuse the white balance - this is from my Nexus One)

Current equipment:
Vortech MP10es
Marineland Stealth 50W heater
16 LEDs (8 XP-G, 8 XR-E), mounted into the shelf above the tank (need optics). The LEDs are currently running on a set of Meanwell 60-48D, but will be moving to my own driver soon. The LEDs are only at about 500mA. I'll calibrate that out with the PAR meter later on.
The tank temperature is very stable - the heater hysteresis is small:
