I am building a DIY light setup and this is what i already have from a past setup that im gonna use for actinic supplement...

2 - 34" t5 uvl super actinic (420nm)
2 - 34" t5 uvl 454 (85% tri-blue, 15% 420nm)
Icecap 660 ballast

Now for my main lighting there are two setups that im looking at, this is what i need help deciding...

4 - 36" t12 vho uvl 10k's (4x95watts=380watts)
Icecap 660 ballast(already have from past setup also)

OR

1 - 400watt MH with electronic ballast.

So vho t12's or MH? Will they both support about the same life according to the close wattage output? cost to operate? any feedback or experience would be helpful...thanks!

Tank is 36"x24"x24" = 95gal.
