I just set up a 46 gallon bow front tank in my basement. I noticed this afternoon that one of my ceiling light fixtures(holds 2 standard home bulbs and swivels) is mounted perfectly above my tank. The ceiling dips in that corner to 3ft above my tank(20" deep). Any chance a bulb is available that could be used to light the tank or is there a fixture i could add in its place that houses a proper bulb?

I was hoping to keep some sps/lps in the tank

thanks!

by standard house bulb im assuming you mean a standard light socket which means it would be perfect for a PAR38 bulb. for a 46g though i would say you would need 4-5 to adequately light the tank. im not sure how the wiring is setup above your tank but you could add some tracklighting to hang the additional bulbs. if you go with tracklighting you could house the main lighting bulbs from it and use the 2 higher up ones for all blue bulbs(with wider optics) if you want more blue in the tank
