View Full Version : Tropical strawberry anemone?

Hi, every one keeps on telling me this is a strawberry anemone but my tank is at a constant 26 degrees Celsius (79 F) and i thought they were a temperate species?. what else could this be. it is still fairly small. any ideas what it is ????

I think what you have is Pseudocorynactis, which is commonly known as a "ball anemone," but is actually more closely related to mushrooms. I don't think they're a temperate species.

I have those too! Its been hard getting an ID since its really tough getting a good pic due to their transparent tentacles (except the white tips & pink foot) and small size. They multiple like crazy but dont seem to bother any coral since they prefer staying out of direct light.
