More Rock Questions

I took out about 40 lbs of LR a little over a year ago due to an algae outbreak. It has been sitting in my garage (dry) ever since. I would like to try and bring it back to life. My garage, though, has the occasional spider walking about and so I worry about what could now be in the rocks.

Should I blast the rock with a water hose or something before cooking it? Any other ideas with making sure nothing is in the crevices?

Power wash it if you can.

+1, take it to one of those "wash your car yourself" places and just set it on the ground and spray the crap out of it...literally.

Add the rock in slow. Adding too much rock at once can cause another cycle.
