The first and third photo appear to be XR series, probably XR-E. The second photo are not Cree LEDs. Maybe Osram?

To know how to dim (if possible) we need to know what driver you're using now. You linked to that RF wall mount dimmer, are you using that now? Or something else?

Sorry, I'm still confused as to exactly what question you're trying to get answered. If you want to add a controller to do the dimming, you'll need to tell us more information, such as the make and model of driver (ballast) you're using, and whether or not you'd be willing to swap it for a different driver if it turns out to not be externally controllable.

It appears that the LEDs you are using are hardwired to a long strip of PCB. Can you tell us how many LEDs are in each strip, and how many strips you have?

Also, it may be very possible to dim externally with the driver you already have, so if you can provide a model number, we can answer your question.

i have 20 leds in total .. 5 on each strip. i will try to get the driver model but the stickers were pulled off?

Are you looking for fully automated dimming (i.e. fading up and down for sunrise/sunset) or just a knob you can turn that's not buried inside the case?

a external knob would be enough

Dimmable buckpucks would work with strings of 5 LEDs, on a common 24v DC power supply.

Buckpucks:

Power supply:

http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=16854+PS

You'd need one buckpuck per string, so 4 total. One of those power supplies will run all 4 buckpucks, unless you want to be able to turn different strings of LEDs on/off separately, in which case get more supplies (you can plug the supplies into a common lamp timer to turn them on or off).

But again, tell us the model of driver you have now, or post a photo of it, as you might be able to modify it for external dimming much more cheaply than getting new drivers.

That's fascinating. Where'd the fixture come from? And what did you pay? I regret to inform you that the wall mount switch you linked to will not work, at least as far as it claims to only be pushing 12 volts. Half of the LEDs do in fact look like they are the Cree XR series, the other half I don't have any clue either. They kind of look like Osrams, but any high power Osrams I have looked at have a square-shaped base rather than circular. Maybe still an older model of Osram?

No idea on the driver. If it's only got two wires coming in, and two going out, and no other plugs or jacks, it's likely not externally controllable. At this point switching drivers is probably your only realistic option. FWIW the buckpuck version I linked to has an external pot already wired in, so you can mount it where you want with a knob to dim the LEDs.

As long as you get the dimmable buckpucks you're all set. You have a few options - you can get them pre-wired with a potentiometer for dimming (the version I linked) or bare, where you have to supply the pot and/or other dimming control (microprocessor, controller, etc.).
