Well, there are so many rare Angelfish we can talk about.
But how about Tang?
What I can think of is Gem Tang, Black Tang, Achilles Tang.
If you guys know more of them, please let me know.
Thanks a lot.

It is interesting, it's not all that difficult to get your hands on a rare angel if you're willing to do a bit of legwork and pay what it costs. Tang hybrids however seem a lot more difficult to find. Maybe they're just in shorter supply, but I would love one of those tri-color tangs.

Just seems like they're never available, but maybe in reality they're just not available to me!

well there's not much naturally occuring rare tang species that you have not obtained yet. so just go hunt for some hybrids or aberrant variants.

here are two that i really like. the clown tang that luiz rocha photographed, and the most amazing yellow tang variant i've seen. comparable to the gorgeous pure white yellow tang.

Tangs occur shallower. That is why there aren't many rare species. Most are just limited by location whether or not collection is allowed there. Angels however, occur at great depths, along with wrasses, and there are hybrids too, and they are also limited by location too, making tangs not that rare IMO.

Also I have seen liveaquaria diver's den, carry multiple multi-color yellow tangs, and some rarer tangs, just gotta wait.

And huge! I think a lot of the tangs we keep need bigger tanks!

There is another tang out there that is super rare. It is a purple color not as bright as a purple tang and the body of the acanthurus. The one I saw was awesome and had white tipped fins. Not sure if it was a hybrid or what but it was pretty cool and had a 15,000 dollar price tag on it.
