Reeflux 10k 250 watt users?

Anyone running these bulbs? I'm going to switch from XM 10K's to this bulb. I've heard these do not run as yellow when fired on a electronic ballast as compared to the XM's. Anybody have any pics?

Reeflux 10k's are a nice white color, very crisp. I had 250w n 400w No yellow at all. Never seen xm 10 k in person but youll be happy wit the reeflux, growth is crazy

Cool, been running the XM's for about 5 years now. When the bulbs are new, the bulbs have a touch of yellow ( I supplement with 4 110 watt Super Actinic VHO's), and when they get 12 monts on them, the vho's cannot drown out the yellow they produce. I just hate having to run this much actinic to make my tank look "white" with a blue hue.

Well u should Change your bulbs after 12 months anyway. I think. Maybe when they yellow its time to change. Do u notice any more algea growth when they go yellow? The reeflux are nice though , price, par, all of it

Absolutely, bulbs get changed yearly. I do get more diatom growth toward the end of the life span. New bulbs clear it up within a matter of days. I'm anticapating the new Reeflux's

Reeflux bulbs have terrible PAR.

I have used XM and got much better growth with XM versus Reeflux. I do agree with you though that XM bulbs are yellow.

There may be other bulbs that have better PAR, but I can tell you that they provide excellent growth and color on the SPS in my tank. This bulb runs well on the Coralvue ballast.
