ATI Powercone

Anyone excited about the new ATI Powercone? I was thinking of getting one when they cone out. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a drain valve on the collection cup.

At least the lack of drain in the cup will force you to keep your cup clean

I have a drain on my skimmer and find it pointless.

I remember reading about the Oregon Reef guy and how a collection cup drain ruined his entire system. I personally don't like the drains.

I am VERY excited about the new skimmer from ATI though. Wish they were a little bit cheaper.

Yeah I like the new skimmer also I believe that it is cheaper than their old BM skimmers.

I'm very excited about my new powwer cone 200.
It's unbeleaveable when it works.I have never seen such performance in a skimmer.
He makes 2000 liter air per hour bubbles and the price in Germany is very low!

How many cm of water do you have it in?

Lol, I am pretty sure that he means "how it works". And by the way, we started to develop this skimmerbody with the curved body shape two years ago.

In Germany are big discusions about the powercone because we have now a skimmer with absolutely top performance for low price.
In Germany the price for the powercone 200 is 350,- euro.
For example, the german ''Bubble King'' with only 1500 Liter per hour air intake
has a price of 1050,-euro!!!:eek2:
Also i have to say, that the quality of the powercone is very good.

Yes I agree with high air input but how about water flow?
I am sure if water flow is slow then performance is not very good.
After all it is water we are filtering.
Just looking for feedback

The 200 model has a waterflow of 1000 Liter per hour and the 250 model 1500 Liter per hour.
