I have a 30 gallon tank with about 20 lbs of live rock and would like to add about 10 lbs more.

The tank has been up for about 2 months now and finished cycling about 3 weeks ago. In the past two weeks have added 3 damsels, 2 hermit crabs and 2 small turbo snails.

I would like to add about 10 more lbs of live rock. If the rock is from a well established tank will that restart a cycle?

Thanks in advance.

you probably want to cure the rock in a rubbermaid container with a powerhead circulating water and monitor the water params to see when the cycle ends.

You should be just fine. The only time you would have another cycle is if there is die off from the new live rock.

If the rock is from an established tank, then the rock is already cured. However, die off and cycling can still occur if transport time is too long, or if you bury either the old rock or the new rock. Just make sure neither occurs, and you should be fine

+1 on this. BTW, you just might wanna get those Damsels out of there before you add any more rock....Just a friendly word of advice.
