That's the DSLR I was thinking of buying. I've never had a DSLR, or an SLR for that matter. How are you liking it so far? Oh, and very nice pic btw

Ive had it about 3 weeks and Im really happy with it. Its my first DSLR too. Its a no-brainer to operate. Im excited about this camera. Decent price with huge features.

I love my Nikon! they are easy to use and take awesome pics! I can't wait to set up my tank and start shooting!

Great pics and incredible corals. It looks like you're having fun with the new camera. You may want to get the dog out of the tank though. :) He's a cutie...

I'm a Canon guy, is the 3100 nicer than the D90?
Great pics BTW, which lens did you use for the macro?

Thanks. My doggies are quite photogenic. I have almost as many pictures of them as my tank :)

Im probably not the right person to answere this. I know the D90 is extremely popular. I believe the two are quite comperable. With the 3100 being brand new, it has some new features that other nikons dont have.

Most of the photos were shot with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR lense. I also got the 55-300mm lense. The dog shot was with the long lense.
