So I have a bit of a windfall (sold another car, and a bunch of parts) and I'm hoping to dramaticly reduce my biggest bill (electricity) to a more managable size, and I'm thinking even though I'm not 100% convinced, an (at least partial LED upgrade would be my best option for cutting some of the 2700 watts over my tank. It's 10x4x30" and Ideally I'd like either 3 or 6 units over the tank. The other option would be about 20 par 38 bulbs, but I don't think I'd like the coverage as well.

Seems to me someone had a 200+ watt fixture out there... I figure 3 of those would let me shave a 1000W off the top of my tank. I don't do much w/ SPS so thats not as much a concern as is coverage. T-5's will still supplement the tank.

Also looked at some of the high powered LED street lights 6500-7K but I can put enough blue in there w/out any real effort.

So... W/ a 3-4K budget, what would be some good options out there.. I'm not up to building something this size if I can avoid it..

Ive been looking at this company after seeing a parking structure lit with them when I was in Florida. They were really bright, and looked somewhere around 10k in color. You may need to keep some blue t5's but they could replace a lot of them. The ceilings were roughly 20ft and they had some of these spaced probably 20-30ft apart and the whole structure was really bright.
