Well, I should first say that i am new to nano reefkeeping. My original tank was a 55gal, that quickly became too small and I purchased a 200gal system from an rc member in the socal forum. that lasted about a year. from there I downsized to a 90 gallon that i have had running for the last three years. (with a break in the middle) the current system has only been running 11 months. I got kind of bored and have noticed that my biggest enjoyment of viewing the corals was looking in from the top when cleaning.
so i decided to build an independant nano/lagoon setup
Here is the original plan, 20l display and sump.

lighting is by a 4 x 24 sunblaze fixture i got from a local reefer.
and the return pump is a small eheim from the same fellow.
After a little while pondering the design, and the input of other reefers, i decided to change it up a bit. I wanted shallower, with more floor space.
so my new design is same setup etc. different display tank.

I decided i would take the plunge and build it myself.
picked up some glass from a local shop, and started building.
I sealed it with aga black silicone from the local petco.
still building as the overflow peice wasn't right and i still need to replace it.
the glass
