Best MH lens cleaner

Its time to change my bulbs and i am going to clean the lenses. What is the best cleaner? I plan on using lime away and rinsing really well afterward. Any better options or opinions?:spin3:

lime away hands down .I love that stuff i i used it on moguls and hqi pendant glass it makes bulbs look brand new no scale at all it works awsome on cleaning up the scale ring at top of a tank also ive only done this on old sump like tanks but never had a problem .I also like it because you do not need to scrub much almost wipes off good when dealing with glass bulbs so you dont have to be rough on bulbs.

Lime away may etch the glass as most silicate materials are soluable in caustic materials.


Straight vinegar or vinegar + water is probably your best option. 3M Scotch brite may also help to take off any heavy deposits. Although you do need to be gentile with it as it can scratch some soft glasses.
