I would really like to have the Ecoxotic 25G aquarium with the panorama LED system.

I'm just wondering if anyone here got it, and would like to share some opinions.

Thanks.

the 25gal Ecoxotic aquarium is actually a 25gal Solana tank. using Ecoxotic's 17.5" LED fixture.

I would have to agree... The 25G Ecoxotic is identical to my 34G Solana. Obviously not counting dimensions.

I do however have the 17.5" Panorama over my 34G Solana. It looks fantastic, but it's too early to tell how effective the fixture will be with SPS.

Well that true, but i like the Ecoxotic's stand better than the Solana's. It looks more modern, kind of like the ELOS.

Good to hear you're liking the fixture because thats the main reason I want to get it, the LED lightning sounds interesting.

For how long have you have it?

Thanks.

I've only had the fixture for a month with a few weeks use. The tank is currently void of coral and cycling with some new Pukani rock, so I have no idea how corals are going to like it.

As far as everything else though.. I love it. Aesthetically it's pleasing, it runs very very cool and makes no noise do to passive cooling, is customizable, and uses very little power.

I have all metal halide and if this fixture is capable of supporting acros in the top half of the tank, I will soon be replacing all those power hungry MH fixtures!

Earlier today I received an order from PA which had an assortment of stunner strips. Right now I have 4 additional stunner strips running. 2 403NM and 2 453NM Blue all with the reflectors. Not ultra impressed with the 403's, but when I get some coral in there I may change my opinion.

For what I have read, it is supposed to support acros and other SPS corals. The 403 are the purple ones right? I have purple T5HO bulbs and corals look awesome. hope those stunner strips bring that color out of corals ;)

The stunner strips are very different, no PAR value to speak of, not meant to grow coral, and yes, 403 are purple.

Eco and Current are affiliated, so yes, it's a Solana.
They're cute lil systems.
I had the Panorama on my 60g cube meant to be nem specific, but put a couple sps accidental frag chips up top for giggles, grew just fine in top third of tank, great color and growth, actually surprised me how good of growth.
My only issue was needing greater PAR at 24' depth for sand dwellar nems that were very light needy, but at 18" should be no problem.

FWIW, I have been using the Ecoxotic panorama modules for a few weeks now. I have it over a biocube 14 with lps and softies only, and I love them. I don't think you will be disappointed with the light at all.

I was considering getting the Ecoxotic aquarium too. I was looking at the Solanas but didn't care for the included stand. Then someone clued me into this tank which is basically a Solana with a very modern stand. My whole decor is mid-century modern (Eames, Sarineen style furnishings)...lots of teak and rosewood, straight lines, minimal clutter, etc. The Solana stand looked a bit cheap and slightly too Pottery Barnish for my tastes. I really like the stand with the Ecoxotic though. And I like the looks of the LED lighting fixture that you can get for the Ecoxotic. How well do the lights work really? Is there enough light at the bottom to be able to put a brain coral, plate coral, etc? Do the LEDs have moonlights or would I have to add those on? Also, since both the Ecoxotic and Solana have filtration built into the back, are there some Solana mods to the back chambers to put in a fuge? What are some other mods people have made? Has anyone ever put a sump/fuge under the Solana and just used the back chamber for skimmer, media like GFO, etc? Thanks!!

I dont like Solana's stand either.

With the Ecoxotic LED fixture I think you will be able to put corals at the bottom, even a clam.

It comes with 453nm stunner strips and you can use them as moonlights.

I dont know anything about Solana or Ecoxotic mods. I had a 29G Biocube and put a HOB overflow, and a sump in the stand. It worked out OK.

I was going to get a BC 29 for my wife's office at work, (we used to have a 14g and she liked it), but just found the Eco 25g. I can buy JUST the Eco 25g tank for $250 which is the same price for a new BC 29. I will build a stand easy enough and am actually thinking about using a single par38 with 60d optics...she'll only have some fish and softies in there.

Anxious to hear more experiences with this tank.
