hi rc!

i was just curious as to what spectrum of lighting does corraline algae flourish or is it a matter of how much lighting you actually have. for example, will corraline grow better with 10k mh as oppose to 15k mh or vice versa.

thanks guys!

It should not make much difference on spectrum the colors may be slightly different though. I have noticed mine grows best in the lower light areas of the tank.

i would venture to guess 20 k would grow it best

Mine seems to be a darker purple in areas of less light but I would say keeping my cal and alk in check had more to do with it flourishing than lighting.

corraline flourishes in actinic spectrums along with constant ca and mg levels. Mh actual deter corraline growth but it doesn't mean mh will stop it from growing
