I have recently switched from plain Instant Ocean salt to the Instant Ocean Reef salt. I did this because of the added calcium and mg in the mix...
But my calcium level seems to be off. The RO/di h2o and reef salt mix are reading levels above 520... Before I put it in my tank...
Is that healthy/safe for my tank?

Reef Crystals should be about 500 ppm, so that measurement seems plausible. How much about 520 ppm is the level, and what's the SG? Has the SG device been calibrated with a seawater standard?

I'm at work... I'll take a full read again when I get home.

Yesterday: the sg was ~1.023
I'm using a generic instant ocean hydro

That SG is very low, if accurate. I'd get a bottle of the PinPoint 53 mS conductivity calibration solution, and see how accurate the swingarm is. Many are very inaccurate. The calcium level should be a fair amount lower than that, if the SG is accurate.
