what size tank should i use to make my sump as a wet dry? calculator on here says sump area should be 25 gallons. also is a refugium better for me and what about live rock?

Hello carmine. That is one gigantic tank. I am sure everyone her is willing to help, but this is a forum for newbies with 10 gal nanos and up to maybe a 200-ish gal. Try the large tank forum on this site, and you'll get more of the experienced large tank reefers.

I'd say to use at least a 75g or bigger for a tank of that size, better yet would be to go to tractor supply and use one of the rubbermaid stock tanks in the 100g, 150g, or 300g size. I think they also have a 50g stock tank, and all of them are pretty reasonably priced...the 300 is around 100 bucks I think with the others being decreasingly cheaper as they get smaller.

Yeah alot of people use rubbermaid tanks. Their great and u can use more than one for ur Skimmer sump and fuge. IMO having a fuge is helpful for nutrient exportation and having a safe place for copepods amphipods and other cridders to breed
