What is this?? It came in on some cheato...

They look like eggs of some kind. Right in the center of the pic, I'm hoping someone here has seen these before??

Hard to tell, it may be an aiptasia or something along those lines.

It's a round ball attached to a single piece of cheato, the ball is clear with a bunch of tanish balls inside

I'd say throw it out too just to ensure you don't have a problem pests and have to deal with in future.

Am I the only one that thinks he should grow it out in a tub and see what it is? Hell, you could put it in a 5g bucket with a chunk of chaeto and a light. Do a small water change every now and then. I guess I just don;t necessarily agree with the "if you don't know what it is then kill it" approach...

I´m with lordofthereef... I´d try and hatch them in a separate container.

My guess is snail eggs of some sort. Can you ask the supplier of the Chaeto what creatures he keeps in his tank?

I think I will try to hatch them in a seperate tank. I'd like to see what they are also...I'll post some pics on here & let you guys know. Now I just hope they don't hatch while I'm at work.

Just to follow up, I believe they were turbo snails... not sure as it disappeared by the time I got home. But I've notice a few tiny turbo snails show up since theen.
