My 20 gallon is 7 years old This seems to be a shelfing macro-algae in the last year has been prolific.
It will grow over rockwork, and not sure I need to attack it or let it do its thing. For the last year I have been peeling/scrubbing it back....any advice would be welcome as the tank needs a makeover with new lights, or just new bulbs. If I run metal halides over it...it might kill off the growth. My current lights are only marine glo 36 watts, softies only. Signularia over powers the tank as well but I love the look. Its a simple tank.
