Powerhead Making Grinding Sound

So I finally set up my 55 gallon last night :celeb1:. Everything is great except, my powerhead, which is making this annoying grinding sound along with the motor hum. What is causing this sound, I tried turning the pump on and off a few times, but it did not help. The sound is not very loud, but it bugs me because its in my bedroom. The powerhead is a Sunsun JVP 102b.

You might have sand in the impeller magnet assembly. Clean out the PH and make sure that there is no debris between any moving parts.

Make sure the front of the powerhead is on straight and both teeth are in the grove

IMO it's the POS Sunsun powerhead

I returned my sunsun power head and got a hydor koralia evo instead much much much happier with the hydor. I had to look for water movement to make sure it was on, there is no sound.
