Calibrate ORP Probe in the AC3

Hi guys,

I want to calibrate my ORP probe, but only I have the calibration solution of Pinpoint and I don´t to do it with that solution, because in the manual say this:

1. Create a saturated solution of Quinhydrone and pH 7.00 calibration solution.
2. Select Setup:ORP Setup:ORP Calibrate from the AquaController III’s menus.
3. Place the ORP probe into the Quin-7.00 solution. Wait for the numbers on the bottom of the
LCD screen to stop changing. It does not matter what value is displayed only that it is not
changing. When the display stops changing press the select button.
4. Create a saturated solution of Quinhydrone and pH 4.00 calibration solution.
5. Place the ORP probe into the Quin-4.00 solution. Wait for the numbers on the bottom of the
LCD screen to stop changing. It does not matter what value is displayed only that it is not
changing. When the display stops changing press the select button.
6. The ORP probe is now calibrated.

Here in Mexico will be very difficult to create that solution and in the Pinpoint solution don´t tell anything about Quinn, only that is to calibrate at 400 the ORP.

So is there a chance/way to calibrate with the ORP Pinpoint Solution ??

No, the Pinpoint ORP solution will not work correctly.

Are you running Ozone (O3)? Calibration is really only needed if you run O3; otherwize ORP can be treated as a relative measurement; upward movement == good, downward movement == not good and lots of downward movement == bad.
