View Full Version : What is it?

I'm hoping that this is the proper forum on which to post this query.
I purchased live rock about 3 months ago and found on one, what I thought to be a bubbletip anemone. According to my lfs friend [quite knowledgeable]
they are not anemones since they don't move, but rather what he called 'colentrates'. After Googling and searching here on this site, I find no information regarding this creature. It has a bright pink base, approximately 3/8" in diameter [oval shaped] with translucent arms ending in a bubble tip. The arms are approximately 1" long. I can't seem to find any photos of said creature, nor am I able to take a picture for posting. It's not a do or die situation, but I'd be curious to learn what these 5 or so animals might be.
Thanks to all in advance.

I know what your talking about, but I can't find remember the name for the life of me. It's a common hitchhiker. If you touch it, is the "pink" base hard like a skeleton?
