I am currently in the process of setting up a 96"x30"x30 375 gal, I have decided that I will be using a mp60 on either end, but I have 2x mp40s on my current tank and I want to use them on this tank, I was thinking on the back wall, but I fear that I will "dig holes" in the sand from the flow deflecting off the glass just 30" away.

The penetration of the MP40 is about 3 to 4 feet, so you could still use them on the back wall at lower flow settings. You might also want to consider adding a coarser substrate at these places as well.

I think your suggested setup would be pretty awesome. Definitely the ultimate in flow. Jeff has a good point about the substrate, but you could also turn down the flow on the 40's to avoid this. I'd run the pumps in one of the two ES modes so that you can take advantage of the programming for the back of the tank.
