For all you LED fans - I've entered a Grow-out contest allowing me to directly compare (side-by-side) the growth and coloration under G2 to a set of AI's with a common water source and under equal PAR. 2 identical sets of 8 frags will be grown for a period of six months - it should be interesting and hopefully a great showcase for LED lighting. You can follow the thread (along with lots of pictures of both LED lights) here (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1841197)

Also, If I could ask for just a few seconds of your time...

I was honored that my thread, "AquaIllumination PAR Measurements" was one of three threads nominated by Reef Central for November's thread of the month. It showcases LED lighting and provides PAR data and recommendations for new users in the hopes of avoiding bleaching (which I managed to do twice.) If you could take a moment and cast your vote by clicking the link below, it would be greatly appreciated!

Any help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated, It's amazing how many reefers still beleive that LED lighting "won't grow SPS" :strange:

Thank you very much for your assistance!

Tom thanks for your contribution here. I'll vote for your thread. I started using my ai leds just a bit before you I think and managed to light shock all my corals which were used to 250 mh. Your thread came out a couple months later which helped me understand the par these thing produce. Wish I had a camera better than my phone to capture my corals with

Its an unnamed tenius. One of my favorites though. The contrast of of the blue and white is nice.

Well, his first 5 were sps. I do appreciate the pics. But the intent was to get some nice sps pics grown under led, just to show all the nay sayers. Counter productive to my intent is that no one is posting:( I will get a decent camera soon and post some nice ones. Unfortunately my camera phone will only (and not very well) capture the corals in the front of my tank.

My apologies for posting the LPS and Z/Ps - I saw the thread title "LED raised corals" and didn't note it was in SPS keepers (although I believe the first 5 Acro photos qualify as SPS :)).

I'll be happy to grab more SPS pics, I was simply pulling shots from corals under 2 different LED systems.

the first 5 acro were in a different post that's why i didnt quote that one.

Z&P IMO look much better under LED, they seem to shine/glow but i never had success with acro growth under LED just monti.
