hi everyone

i am going to be redo the room my fish tank is in, (new carpeting and painting the walls.) When i start redoing the room im gonna put everything in rubbermaid container to make moving it easier and then move the tank to a different room for a couple days. Before i put everythign back into the tank, would it be ok to spray paint the back of the tank black?

thanks

Be very careful of any paint fumes with saltwater, I crashed 2 tanks in the room next to the one I painted. The tanks absorbed the fumes and turned milk white in just hours.

Use a brush and a Whizz Roller with a latex paint for the tank

I agree. Quick and easy.

I spray. It's not an issue, it just takes several coats to do it right. Think about the black though, especially if you get coraline growing on the tank back. I usually use a blue now for tanks.

for the walls i was going to use a low VOC paint with adequate ventilation and also turning off the skimmer for about a day.

for the tank i go with the majority and brush or roll it on.

thanks everyone
