I just purchased an AGA 75 RR and i have a 40b i want to run as my sump/refug. Ive been playing around with the Garf calculator for a custom stand. Has anyone built a stand for a 75 with a 40b sump? if so would you mind sharing your plans with me. Also i need the stand to be 35" tall for enough room to hang my HOB Skimmer on the sump which will be sitting on some type of blocks to raise the sump enough for the skimmer to hang without hitting the floor under the stand. Was planning on using 2x4 framing with plywood top not sure if that will be strong enough for the spacing of the supports to get the 40b to fit into the stand, may go up to 2x6. Any feed back is appreciated. Thanks

That is a great way to build your frame. I built mine for my 75 off those plans and it is very sturdy and lots of room underneath. You could add 2x4's in the bottom if ya want to raise the sump off the floor but I just put mine on the floor. I covered the frame in oak and plywood. No need to put a top on the frame the tank fits on it great. You could change the dimensions to fit your need's.

I just searched for it on the web quick. When I built mine I used the thread off this web site. I think that what got me to be a member here :). The only thing that I found was that I had to cover the sides in plywood to keep it from rocking but that is the best stand build that I could find after lots of searching and it lays the weight out even. You did a great job with it Rocketengineer!!
