Looks great... I've always wondered why do people use the "egg crate" on the bottom of the tank?

it keeps the rock from sliding on the bottom glass... some use it some dont... no negative effects aside from having to use a little more sand to make sure you dont get bald spots to expose the stuff.

@OP- gorgeous tank! i love the growth you have on your sps.

Thanks for the kind words!!! I had a near crash losing 90% of all my colorful sticks, but not to worry, I have bounced back with mixed reef which looks quite nice:)

Coral look great in the pics. If you're saying the lights aren't good, then the coral must be awesome! Always good to see a tank that inspires, and this one does.

I moved and during holding of corals and fish(2 months), I went offline with zeovit. When I moved and set back up, I got a nasty case of cyano and dinos. I discontinued zeovit, then tried bio-pellets, then back to zeovit, just could not lock into a system. Well, I finally lost most of sps, took everything offline, and just skimmed, that is it... I later found my refractometer was off, my S.G. was not 1.025, more like 1.021:( With zeovit, you have to be at NSW values, so this was the contributor to corals dying, not zeovit, the person using the system...me...lol... I now have a modified version of zeo, I use a 10 gallon dsb fuge to aid in removal of nutrients, run gfo and carbon actively, and still use some of the zeovit products to stay low in nutrients and for coloration. I use them in 1/2 rec. doses now, and take things very slowly... Not quite there yet, but happy with my new display as of the moment...:) Do you have a FTS w/o so much blue in it, just curious to see with white balance adjusted to normal how beautiful that reef is...
Thanks,
