I may be breaking down my 120. My son has a 10 gallon he is breaking down as well. I don't want to get out of the hobby altogether but also don't want to invest in any more tanks/equipment. Would a standard ten gallon be large enough for a pair of ocellaris and a ywg? These are the only fish I would keep from the 120, but don't want to cramp them. I'm okay with not doing it if the consensus dictates, just have never kept a nano tank before.
TIA.

i would say no, but isn't entirely impossible...

IMO if theyre small you may be able to get away with it.. atleast for a while. even more so if you have a sump.. but if theyre near full grown.. i wouldnt advise it.

It's not a bioload question, it's a territory question. I've had oscellaris pairs in two ten gallon tanks for 7 and 6 years. But that's the clownfishes territory. Any other fish that doesn't kill the clowns first will be harassed to death eventually. A YWG is already shy, it wouldn't take long for the clowns to intimidate it to death in a ten gallon tank.

I'd go with the clown pair and skip the ywg.
