Advice Please

Hi All,

Need some advice please, my 5 foot has been running a few months now, & the water never seems crystal clear (always slightly murky & often small tiny debris in the water column).

Anything I can do? I heard carbon might help?

carbon will help with clarity.
Some people run filter socks. I run a fuge packed with cheato that serves the same function: particulate does not get through the cheato.

+1 for carbon. Also, do you trim your chaeto? I heard that macroalgae can discolor the water if they overgrow, but am not sure.

BTW I'm digging your aquascape!

UV light will clear it up and provide some protection for the fish.

Just an update - been running activated crabon, filter matt & sometimes filter floss & all is looking good - thanks for all the input
