Hi guys,

What do you guys suggest for a mixed reef, it will have a a lot of softies, ricordea, mushrooms, LPS, anemones BTA and carpet and just very few sps...

All 3 viewable sides have 3/4" acrylic and the rear wall has 1.1" wall

I just think that mounting vortechs on the side of a cube will ruin the view from that side, what should I do?

Single MP60 on the back maybe?

So the back wall is too thick for an MP40?

Yes, the MP40 won't stick on 1+ inch glass. Your best bet would to start at 1 MP60 on the back.

The back panel of my tank has a 3/4" thick acrylic plus a 3/8" black acrylic sheet, woud an MP60 work wth this tank thickness?

The MP60 can be made to work on thicker glass, however we would consider this a custom and experimental installation and if you go this route we'd need to work directly with you to facilitate it. Once more people have tried this and proven that its safe and effective, we could provide broader recommendations.
