I was looking for some locally to mod my skimmer, but came up with nothing. I tried HD, Lowes, and all the local hardware stores and none of them had them. Your best bet is to buy them online.

I had the same issue. I went everywhere around here. Even to Modern plumbing (I think that is what it's called).

I had to order one from US plastics.

Any True Value hardware store can get you a 1-1/2" Gray Schedule 80 PVC gate valve. Takes a few days to get but might be faster than online. The item number for them to order it was: #363-796 it was around $20. Hope it helps
