I have had this cleaner shrimp for more then a year. my whole tank is running smoothly. Have not seen this cleaner shrimp in a few weeks now checked the rock work...nothing so I am thinking he died. My tanks perimeters are fine.
The current tankmates are:
-2 clownfish
-1 small bta
-9 nass snails
I do a 25% water change per week. I used dried salt for my last water change , could that affect anything like the calcium levels for his molt. And I did buy him at full size. Thanks for you help!

Sometimes they are good at hiding away from a while, they find holes in the rock that you never even thought were there. Really there is no way to tell what happened...sorry.

And your positive he isn't just hiding from you? I thought I had lost all my peppermint shrimp, but turns out they are just super shy (still have all three.)

Cleaners are not like Peps. They will not hide that long. They do not live very long. 1-3 years with 3 years pushing it. I have not had one last more than about 2 years.

I was kinda more focusing on the fact that he could be "chillin" somewhere. Or dead. Either way. I have also thought some were hiding, until I found a claw or something proving they were not hiding.....

Thanks for the quick replys! I looked again in the rock work with a flash light in almost every nook...still can't find it. considering I have pretty open rock work, and its been 2 weeks..I think he is dead. I also brought him full size. Would it be alright to add another cleaner shrimp? family wants another "jacques" (finding nemo). Thanks!

You can have multiple cleaners in a tank...generally they get along.
