Here's a few shots of my tank which I started up in September 2009. The shots are taken at different time, in general the first pictures are the earliest. The last picture is a quite new FTS.

Very nice setup and pictures. What camera are you using? I really like the overhead shot with the shrimp and fish.

Thank you.

I use a Casio Exilim EX-Z400. For the macro shots I use my mobile phone (Samsung Omnia HD) through a D-D NanoScope.

Here's a more recent top-down shot:

The shrimps have gone (they stole food from my Dragonetts) and there's been a few other changes. The anemone from the first picture grew too much (I had to constantly split it) so I gave it away. To compensate the clowns got a frogspawn to live in.

I really like your tank but I don't think that your mandarin should be in a tank that has only been going for 2 months. And what is the size of that tank? Mandarins need a minimum of 75 gallons. Other than that great photo's and nice setup!

The tank was started in September 2009, so it's more than a year now.

The size limit for mandarins are based on wild-caught individual who won't eat frozen food and pellets and hence need lots of live rock with good production of pods for sustenance. I would never keep wild-caught mandarins in a 34 g tank. When the mandarins eat prepared foods, on the other hand, they don't need much room since they are not fast swimmers that need to "stretch their legs". My two mandarins are tank bred individuals that are very easy to feed.

Thank you. I use the stock lights for the RSM, which are "Red Sea 55W Dual 10,000K/Actinic PC/T5 Bulb". I plan on adding an Aquabeam 600 LED strip.
