I have my 54 Gallon Corner Tank (FOWLR) and I wanted to add a refugium but my stand won't be able to fit anything under it. So I started looking around and came across the CPR HOB Refugium. I was also looking into buying a protein skimmer as well. I can either buy each separately (HOB Refugium and Skimmer) or I can buy the refugium that includes the protein skimmer. What do you guys think?

I personally would go with the just a skimmer.. a good one.. like the Eshopps HOB.. or an Octo.. they are really good too :)
The CPR from what I have researched are more of a pain than anything.. hard to clean and take up too much space and viewing room.. I almost bought one for my 55g and changed my mind after talking to a few experienced reefers on here.
Just my 2cents.. good luck :)

I've had a few of the aquafuges and would never personally invest in one ever again. You are better off investing in a higher end HOB skimmer.

I have a 54 corner and have loads of crap under my stand, it just takes some imagination. I have a sump with a small fuge, a ASM-g3 skimmer and a carbon reactor.
