View Full Version : New FOWLR LED Lighting

So, I finally got some LED Lighting for my Shark tank. Its really nice. Its BRIGHT! I'm Very surprised by it. I love them. My room is already cooler. I have had the lights on for 5-6hrs and they are Cool to the touch.

Thats a Full view of the tank with the New LED lights. It looks so much nicer.

Looks good. :thumbsup: What lighting were you using before? What are the specs on this LED system?

Thanks! I was using a Fixture with only 2 54W T5HO Bulbs... Not all that bright. Plus, I didn't get the Ripple Effect with the T5's... I love it. So I wanted to try LED's... The Specs on the LED's over the tank now are as follows:

~50 pcs x 1 Watt LED (30 White @ 16000K+ 20 Blue 455 nm)*50W Total*
~PAR Readings-
****2" depth - 645 Par
****12" depth - 177 Par
****24" depth - 77 Par
~ Total Color Spectrum= 14000K

Not really coral worthy, But it works for a FOWLR tank. I Got it from www.LEDWholesalers.com They work Nicely. The only thing I really didn't like is they didn't come with in on off switch. So I just pluged them into a Powerstrip of there own, all I do is just switch the Powerstrip on and off when needed... It works nicely! :)
