Is this normal? It started this morning, in little white splotches. Now, 24 hrs later, is has at least doubled, if not tripled in most areas. All the figi rock was recently moved from my old 55 G to this new tank, and I installed an RODI system (used to be only tap water...Yes I know:sad2:)
I can take pictures, but I was hoping someone has already been through this
Help?

hmmm exposer to air makes it turn white within a mintue or two. Cal and Alk levels ? Magnisum will help rebuild the algae. Any thing else you've changed? Lighting etc?

It bleached with changes to light intensity.
Did you search for the answer at all? I know I have seen this asked literally dozens of times.

I had a tank sit empty for a couple of months with bright pink coralline on the glass until it hit water again and turned white. I would check your magnesium level.
I agree with Lordofthereef. This happened to me when I switched my lights. It got spots of the rocks and around the edges . Then started to change a darker red..
Heat above 85 in the presence of strong light can also bleach it.
test alk, calcium, and magnesium, and cross-check your thermometers.

If they have bleached completely, the part had coraline algae grown on it turn white. But will they ever grow back at the same spot if conditions are met?
