Hello all! Im on day 2 of goldstripe maroon clown larvae thats in a 10gallon nursery tank. Ive read others had better luck w/leaving the lights on 24/7 & others who had alot of die off's when they have theirs off at certain hours. I have mine on all the time & lost 4 so far. I was wondering if it was healthy for them in the long run to leave it on 24/7? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any way works fine. But there is no need to put clown larvae under 24hr light.

I run mine 24/7 for the first 5 days or so but I filter the light through a white cotton rag. This has worked very well for me.

Thanks Luis A M & kl3377!

im just worried when i turn off my lights & turn them back on the next day i'll see dead larvaes. In the books it said that to leave the lights on 7-10hours but i also read that alot of die offs was cause by starvations during lights off. so which has a better success rate?

Mine is under a low wattage regular t5 lights filtered w/ white sheet of paper. will that work?
