Hi all just wanting opinions on the choise of these two fish. Who has the half black and how hardy do you find this fish? The beauty of the flame is obvious but just trying to decide and trust RC with all input. Thanks

Had the eibli and loved it. Had to sell and start over -haven't ruled it out and it did really well. Just wondering about the half-black.

I have a 1/2 black and have had him for about 3 years and is a model citizen, he has been in fowl(2) 200g range with large angels, puffers, triggers, tangs and wrasses with no issues and for the last year or so he has been in my softy mini reef 75g (was a 30g until 1 month ago) his current tank mates include clown fish, fire fish, royal grama, scissor tail dart fish with no issues and the corals are "fleshy type softies" such as colts/leathers seems hardy and well mannered even when in the 30g

I have a Bi-color myself. However, hardy Bicolors are very much an exception to the rule..
As for Half-blacks, never kept one, but I think they are one of the riskier (to corals) of the dwarf angels. They are noted for being somewhat aggressive in the literature..
Still, its a hardy and handsome fish.
If the choice were mine to make: Flame. Sorry, I just love 'em! LOL
