I've got a 40g breeder which currently has 5 fish. details in my sig
Think I have room for a Kleini Butterfly? or maybe I could try to pair my wrasse?

If you trade in the Kole tang. Minimum specs from what Ive seen is a 4 ft tank and at least 70 gallons.

Looks to me as though you are already pushing it with regards to stocking. I would steer clear of any tangs, butterflies or similar fishes as they just require more space than your 40 can provide.

I know it's a sad day when us fish keepers realize that we are outta room, but we have all been there, or at least will be.......

These are the responses I expected. I've had the Kole since the beginning and hes at least doubled in size up to maybe 3-3.5" now and getting plump. He shows some aggression with the other fish and occasionally chases but never hurts the wrasse, blenny and dottyback. Its his tank and I'm ok with that for now. I won't be adding any more fish until I upgrade which hopefully will be soon. I've had pretty decent success with my first reef and I want that big tank so bad now :D

Making the choice to hold off on any new additions is a good idea.
