Hey Haksar,

I believe the best one out there, is probably the Canon EF 100mm f2.8L IS Macro USM lens.
However that lens is up around the 1000$ mark too. What is your budget?

If we know what your looking to spend, one of us may be able to point you in the right direction. :)

Thanks Rylan, phew that lens is out of my budget.Any other lens which is 100-300 $.

I got the camera free so is a Canon 20 D really good at taking macro shots.

The 20D is as good as nearly any DSLR on the market at "macro" shots with the right lens. The 100 2.8 is the defacto macro lens for Canon gear but you can save a lot of money by getting the older, non-IS, version. It's roughly half the price of the IS version but might still be out of your range.

The Tamron 90mm and Sigma 105mm macros are also worth a look, and a little cheaper.
