need help with halide on my 30gal

hey can anyone tell me how to change the double ended halide bulbs..i pulled it out and it has these white caps over them..do i need to pry those off or do i need to buy new ones somewhere..

i bought a sunpod off ebay and it has the stock bulb 14k in it and its kinda silverish mirrored..does that mean its time to change it..

it came with a brand new ushio 10k im gonna use and just run actinic t5s..

No, you leave those white caps on it. That's what snaps into the fixture.
