I find chips, encrusting montipora, and birdsnest to be fast growers IME. The slow growers make you appreciate them more so don't base your purchase on growers but rather on beauty;)

Progression pics would be cool. I have mainly lps with a few sps but now I'm getting the sps bug. I guess its winter time and I need something different to work on! Every season brings something new.....whats next?

Orange Birds nest

The coral was just a 3 stemed 4 inch frag about 4-5 months ago. It was just the larger "base" section on the right Was a lil Y now look and thats with not perfect water.

Sump less only runnin a skimmer !

My two monti caps, orange and green grow really quick followed by the pink and green birdsnest. Pink lemonade for me has been slow, but it's still encrusting right now, just got my frag a couple months ago, as is my Red Planet, hopefully that will take off once it encrusts some.

My Red Planet took forever to lay down the base, but once it started sprouting branches, it has really taken off. I also have a Blue Tip Green Slimer, Miami Orchid, and Tubs Pink Jade that grow like weeds for me, along with a couple Birdsnests. My Blue Polyp Digita, and an Idaho Grape, are fast growers as well.

As for slow growers, mine would be a Rose Mille. Has been laying a base for a year, but refuses to sprout branches. I also have a Blue Tort, a Pink and Green Loripes, and a Pink Stylophora that are taking their sweet time at growing as well.

By far the fastest grower I have ever had as far as SPS is concerned is the ORA Scripps Acro. Mine went from a 1 inch frag into a 10" colony in less than a year! Not the most beautiful SPS piece out there but under the right circumstances the polyps get a nice green to them and the base becomes green as well. I think it is such a fast grower because it does not lay down a base at all.
