I have had this anemone for a yr now. It has been through one move and is about to move to our new house in a few days, but anyway i still don't know what kind it is? I can try to get different pics if needed just let me now what you need to see. Well that's if i can figure out how to post them.

It might a long tentacle anemone...what color foot does it have? does it have spots underneath?

The foot is white at least the part above the sand. and it does have spots or bumps on it.

"Sebae" is not a species of anemone. It's just a generic name used to describe several different species. Typically, crispa and malu, but I've seen it used for others as well.

The anemone doesn't appear to be a long tentacle (M. doreensis)

Judging from the pic, I would say H. malu. There is a chance it could be H. crispa. A closer examination of the column would be needed to be sure. Crispa has a large column and pedal disk with thick leathery tissue. Malu has a thin column, and small pedal disk, with delicate looking tissue. Who knows, there may also be hybrids of the two???????????

Here's a pic of what I considered my H. malu that looks similar to your anemone.

I'm leaning towards it is a Long Tentacle anemone. Looks very healthy too

a picture of the underside will solve this quickly

Yeah H. Crispa. I got one that started the same and looks a lot like yours now. Different shade of brown but same look, white tips and all.

Looks like H. crispa to me--and a healthy one at that.

Hey thanks, I had an ideal that H. crispa was the species, but then i would see/read something to make me second guess myself.
